Based on the brutalist forms of the Atlantic wall and part of an ongoing body of work investigating architectural metaphors and the interplay between analogue and digital processes, Altered state uses the traditional process of Wet plate Collodion, incorporating glass negatives to layer images. By layering the glass negatives, elements of the images are knocked back or revealed through the scanning process, fracturing and obscuring the original source material, then taken into Lithography.
