Adi Avidani

Adi Avidani is an Israeli artist and art teacher based in London. Fascinated by the clear connection she finds between clay and people; Adi uses clay to portray human relationships. She graduated from her Ceramics and Glass MA at the Royal College of Arts this year. She has won multiple awards including the Grace Student Award (2021). She has exhibited work at the Royal Academy, WAC, Florence Art Biennale (2021), Fresh!, Wells Cathedral and Milan Design Week.

Led by material practice, Avidani aspires to push the limits of materials by leveraging techniques originating from 3D modelling and its associated aesthetics and translating these digital methodologies into the realm of sculptural handcrafted pieces, mould-making, and slip-casting techniques. Her practice delves into the vast spectrum that bridges the domains of art and design and the role of craft practitioner, encompassing diverse manifestations and possibilities.
